Economy

South Korea is a developed country, with a developed market and a high-income economy. From the early 1960s to the late 1990s, South Korea had one of the world's fastest growing economies, and remains one of the fastest growing developed countries in the 2000s. South Korea is the fifth largest exporter and seventh largest importer in the world. It has a well developed education system that has generated a highly educated populace who are the main force behind South Korea's high technology boom and rapid economic development.
South Korea's economy, however, suffers from having almost no natural resources and from overpopulation.
