Fun book recommendation of the day
If you are a big fan of the show Curb Your Enthusiasm and a lover of philosophical debates, you will like this book. The book discusses why the show makes people laugh so much, and it will give you a new perspective on Larry Davidís character and on humor in general and what makes something funny. The book is broken up into several essays, each of which is written by a different author/philosopher and addresses a particular philosophical question. You can pick which parts you like to read rather than reading the entire book.
Larry David's character in Curb Your Enthusiasm is both loved and hated. He represents our dark side. The parts that we are ashamed to unleash but secretly we wish we had the courage to be like Larry more often. Like Larry David sometimes we wonder why we should bother with useless social conventions such as stop and chats. Larry represents our dark side to our personality that, once exposed to light, often appears to be right in a very wrong, twisted, hilarious way!!
