Fun book recommendation of the day
So, Anyway is written by John Cleese whose huge comedic influence has stretched across generations. Cleese has perfected a unique brand of physical comedy with Monty Python and now in this memoir, he takes readers on a Grand Tour of his ascent in the entertainment world, from his humble beginnings in a sleepy English town and his early comedic days at Cambridge University, to the founding of the landmark comedy troupe that would take him to worldwide renown. Twisting and turning through surprising stories and hilarious digressions, the story of a Cleese's journey to the pinnacle of comedy is a great performance by a master performer.
The interesting thing about Clesse is that his career in comedy took off when he was just days away from graduating Cambridge and setting off on a law career. He was visited by two BBC executives, who offered him a job writing comedy for radio. That fateful moment gave him the oppertunity he needed to take his university humor revue to Londonís famed West End.
