Fun book recommendation of the day
Sick in the Head: Conversations About Life and Comedy is a collection of intimate and hilarious conversations with the biggest names in comedy including Mel Brooks, Jerry Seinfeld, Jon Stewart, Sarah Silverman, Harold Ramis, Seth Rogen, Chris Rock, and Lena Dunham.
Before becoming one of the most successful filmmakers in Hollywood, the author Judd Apatow was a big comedy nerd. When he was a teenager, he took a job washing dishes in a local comedy club, just so he could watch endless stand-up for free! He started stand up comedy when he was only sixteen by hosting a show for his local high school radio station in Syosset, Long Island. The show consisted of Questions and Answers with great comedians, from Garry Shandling to Jerry Seinfeld. In the show they talked about their careers, the science of a good joke, and their dreams of future glory.
